Abstract |
Trionyx sinensis Strains of enterobacteria designated N9910 and N9911 were isolated from naturally diseased soft-shelled turtles. Experimental infection with the 2 strains caused the death of white mice and the same clinical symptoms in healthy soft-shelled turtles. Two strains of N9910 and N9911 were identified as being Morganella morganii on the basis of their morphological features and physio-biochemical characteristics. Drug-sensitivity tests showed that the 2 strains were highly sensitive to chloramphenicol, ceftriaxone, norfloxacin and amikacin.
