Abstract
Kinosternon baurii The BRG concluded from the biological assessment that the Lower Keys population of the striped mud turtle met listing criteria. Because the Lower Keys population of the striped mud turtle does not meet the definition of isolated population (significant and discrete population of a species), however, FWC staff recommends that the Lower Keys population of the striped mud turtle not be listed as a Threatened species and that it be removed from the Species of Special Concern list.
